Pastor Michael Craig McClain was born to the late Mary E. McClain Cooksey in Stuart,
Fl on Nov. 10, 1959. Pastor McClain was raised in Hobe Sound, FL; he attended schooling
in Hobe Sound and Stuart, FL. After receiving his diploma in 1977, Pastor McClain
joined the armed forces for a 3 year term. During this term he was stationed in Kitizigen,
Germany where he met Missionary Ola McClain who was also serving a 3 year term. After
serving their terms on July 11, 1980 they were united in Holy Matrimony in Baltimore,
Maryland. They moved to Hobe Sound, FL in August of 1980. To this union was born
two daughters; Michele (who was born in Germany 1979), and Machica (1982),
After a
long battle with drugs, Pastor McClain gave his life to Christ in 1983. He became
a member of Church of God of Hobe Sound, Fl, where he served faithfully until 1985
when the Lord drew him out to be joined with Pentecostal House of Prayer of Stuart,
Fl. In January 1986, Pastor McClain attended a revival held by Prophet S. D. James.
God spoke to Pastor McClain that this is the ministry that he should be under. In
March of 1986 Glory E.P.C. was founded under the leadership of Pastor Lucille Y.
Mason. Pastor McClain served faithfully under this woman of God for 16 years, he
served as an ordained
Deacon, Licensed Minister, on to be an ordained Minster.
In
1992 on his job working the spirit of the Lord spoke to Pastor McClain to inquire
concerning the Pastor ship. During a Sunday morning service this visitation was confirmed
by Pastor Lucille Mason. In Dec. 2002 Minister Michael McClain was appointed and
ordained Pastor of New Life Tabernacle E.P.C. We are blessed and grateful to God
for giving this man of God to us, to nurture and love us. Pastor McClain is a man
of few words unless God is speaking. He is a compassionate man whose love always
shows up when needed. He is indeed a Shepard after God’s own Heart.
